Meet the BiddlesRobert and Justine Biddle purchased the 600 acre block "Straban" with the intention of developing the property into a merino stud.
Robert's family has been involved on the land for over 100 years in other parts of the New England. Robert spent time working on the property before attending Hawkesbury Agricultural College and then moving to a career in the wool industry - initially doing wool classing and then in Sydney working as a wool buyer and broker. It is here that he was first introduced to the Soft Rolling Skin® (SRS®) principles.
After attaining his accreditation as an SRS® sheep classer, Rob moved back to the country and his sheep classing took him all over Queensland and New South Wales. The opportunity arose to purchase Straban in early 2001.
All family members play a role in the day-to-day operations of Straban. Their children Jack, Phoebe and Hamish are only too eager to assist with the mustering, shearing and preparing of rams for sale.
